Concord High School Girls Hockey – Concord, NH

2025-26 Season Recap

The season was one defined by hard work, resilience, and meaningful growth for our team. Finishing with a strong 10–8 record, the team proved that progress isn’t always linear, but it’s always earned. Every practice, every shift, and every challenge helped shape a group that learned to trust each other, push each other, and ultimately succeed together.

Leadership That Set the Tone
This year’s success was fueled by the steady leadership and work ethic of our experienced players. Their commitment created the foundation the team needed, especially during tough stretches. Just as importantly, newer players stepped confidently into bigger roles—including our first-year goalie, who embraced the pressure and became a key part of the team’s identity. The blend of veteran presence and emerging talent gave the group an edge that showed up in big moments.

A Season of Upsets, Energy, and Team Spirit
The team delivered several memorable upset wins—games where determination and belief carried them past strong opponents. Those victories weren’t just highlights; they were proof of what this group could accomplish when they played with heart.

Off the ice, the team built chemistry through fun, laughter, and shared experiences. One of the most impactful was the “Slip Into A Sled” team-building program, where players had the chance to try sled hockey firsthand. The experience deepened their appreciation for the Paralympic sport and broadened their understanding of the athleticism and skill it demands. It was a moment of learning, bonding, and perspective that the team will carry with them.

Milestone Moment
A standout achievement came when junior Brooke Nelson recorded her 100th career point, a milestone that reflects years of dedication and consistent excellence. Her accomplishment energized the team and added a celebratory spark to an already memorable season.

2024-25 Season Recap

After a slow start to the season with a loss to Hanover and a disappointing 1-point defeat to Keene on December 21, the Crimson Tide came roaring into form to win the two-day Kingswood Holiday Tournament. The girls took the tournament championship with a 6-4 win over Exeter, after previously beating Berlin-Gorham-Kennett, 5-1, and Salem, 7-2, in the earlier rounds.

Building on their tournament success, the Tide went on an incredible 10-game winning streak, finishing the regular season with a 14-4 record and securing second place in the standings. In the quarterfinals, they faced Kingswood-Prospect Mountain in front of a packed house at Everett Arena, delivering a commanding 8-2 victory to punch their ticket to the final four for the first time since 2020!

Unfortunately, the semifinal game was the end of the road for Concord this season as they fell to Hanover. “It’s safe to say that despite not reaching the championship, this season was a success for Concord. The girls squashed opponents night in and night out with solid defense and skillful offense. Coach Kate Billings said that many of the girls have seen the hard work it takes to be the best and beat the best, and the Crimson Tide girls will continue to pour it in to come back to this stage and pick up where they left off. (Alexander Rapp, Concord Monitor, Concord loses to perennial powerhouse Hanover in semifinals)”
